Description
FORETS, funded with resources from the XI European Development Fund, aims to contribute to conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and ecosystem services alongside local economic development in the landscape of Yangambi.
Activities include restoration of degraded land, support to research projects, capacity building, environmental education, improvement of value chains, and support to local entrepreneurs.
The project is expected to have a direct and indirect impact on a population of approximately one million urban and rural dwellers.
